Affordable and clean energy
The Anesvad Foundation is dedicated to promoting health and well-being in vulnerable communities worldwide. To achieve this mission, we embrace the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, recognising that access to clean energy is deeply connected to health and community resilience.
We promote clean and sustainable energy in our health projects by integrating renewable solutions that enhance essential services and improve community well-being. With a 0.54% budget allocation, we have installed incinerators and clean energy systems in rural health centres, generating 35,455 MWh of clean energy and reducing CO₂ emissions by 18,448 tons.
The Anesvad Foundation advances this goal through the following actions:
- Using renewable energy: Solar power, for instance, is critical for electrifying rural health centres, ensuring a reliable and safe energy supply for medical equipment, vaccine storage and lighting.
- Enabling community access to sustainable energy solutions: These projects enhance healthcare delivery and improve overall living conditions for communities.
- Promoting low-impact technologies: We incorporate environmentally friendly solutions, such as solar lighting, renewable-energy-powered water pumps and efficient water treatment systems, in all facilities we build or renovate.
- Reducing reliance on fossil fuels: By minimising polluting emissions in the regions where we work, we contribute to more sustainable development.
- Advocating for clean energy as part of a healthy environment: We view access to clean energy as essential for disease prevention and improving quality of life, especially in the most remote and vulnerable communities.
